Honouring the strength, beauty, and sacred worth of Indigenous women and girls.

Honouring Her Sacred Spirit was created to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), a movement and cause that I hold near and dear to my heart.

For far too long, Indigenous women and girls have faced harmful stereotypes, discrimination, and injustice. Yet every Indigenous woman and girl, regardless of her circumstances or life experiences, carries an inherent strength, beauty, dignity, and sacred worth.

Traditionally, Indigenous women have been honoured as life-givers, caregivers, and the heart of our families and communities. This artwork is a reminder of the importance of restoring that honour, recognizing their sacred place, and ensuring that their voices and stories are never forgotten.

Through this piece, I hope to inspire greater awareness, compassion, healing, and meaningful change. We all have a responsibility to challenge harmful attitudes, honour the lives lost, support families and survivors, and work toward a future where Indigenous women and girls are valued, respected, and safe.

Our women and girls are sacred. May we always honour their spirits, their stories, and their strength.
